Privacy policy

This policy explains how the Android app Office Relocation Board handles information. In short: everything you enter stays on your phone. The app has no account, no server, no adverts, no analytics and no internet permission.

1. Who is responsible

This policy covers the Office Relocation Board app for Android and its website officerelocationboard.website. For any question about privacy, data requests or the app, there is one contact address: [email protected].

2. What the app processes

The app processes only what you type into it to plan an office move:

moves: name, company or team, current and new office address, moving day, tags and notes;
waves, zones and desk codes of the current and the new office;
people: name, team, current and new desk, wave, status and a note;
equipment tasks: item, quantity, asset tag, person responsible, destination, deadline and steps done;
documents and valuables: description, crate or bag, number of pieces, an optional declared value in pounds, a confidential flag, who carries it and its status;
services: name, type, date and time, reference, a contact note, person responsible and status;
your own templates, settings and the history of changes of each move.

Some of this may be personal data of other people, such as colleagues' names. Please only enter what you need for the move.

3. Where it is stored

All data is stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. There is no account, no cloud and no server operated for the app. The developer has no access to your data.

4. What leaves your phone

Nothing leaves your phone automatically. The release version of the app does not have the Android internet permission and makes no network requests. Data leaves the device only when you choose to:

share or save an export of a plan (PDF, CSV or text) through the Android share sheet or the system folder picker;
share or save a backup file (JSON).

You choose the app or folder that receives the file; its handling is then governed by that app or service. Service references and contact notes are left out of exports unless you switch them on.

5. Permissions

The app asks for no runtime permissions. It does not use location, the camera, photos, the microphone, contacts or notifications. Files are opened with the system document picker and saved through the system folder picker, which need no storage permission.

6. No tracking, adverts or purchases

The app contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or payment software and uses no advertising ID. All features are free and there are no in-app purchases. The app does not send notifications.

7. How long data is kept and how to delete it

Your data stays on the phone until you delete it: single entries or a whole move in the app, everything at once under More › Data › Delete all data, or by uninstalling the app. Exported files and backups are kept wherever you saved or sent them.

8. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 (and the EU GDPR where it applies) you have rights of access, correction and erasure. Because the developer holds no data about you from the app, these rights are exercised directly in the app on your phone. If you have a question, write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

9. Children

The app is a planning tool for businesses and is not directed at children.

10. This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics or trackers and loads no third-party content; fonts and images are served from this site. The hosting server may keep technical access logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) for operation and security.

11. Changes

If the app starts to handle data differently, this policy will be updated before that version is released. This version applies to Office Relocation Board 1.0.0.
